"The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers."

-Roy Ayers

Teaching private piano and strings lessons is an opportunity I take very seriously. I count it an honor to be able to invest into people's lives musically and spiritually. I believe that learning an instrument, especially during the formative years, can greatly influence the development of an individual, along with teaching perseverance, dedication, consistency, expressiveness, along with many other qualities!

For beginning and early intermediate piano students, I generally use the "Alfred Premier" or "Faber Piano Adventures" series and include introductory improvisation and a healthy dose of scales, arpeggios, and excersizes! For intermediate to advanced piano students, I typically will use the "Celebration Series" or the "Masterworks Series" to introduce solid classical literature, along with many other resources such as technical etudes/exercises, improvisation techniques, sacred arrangements and even composition, if the student is so inclined. However, I  will customize these lessons to fit the students needs, desires, and goals.

For violin students, I generally use a combination of "Essential Elements" method books and the "Suzuki" method, supplementing with many outside resources. For late intermediate-adavnaced students, I generally customize these lessons to the students' needs and goals.
